Working on my set

I have to admit, life brings with it some nice quirks that ultimately lead to some interesting topics to discuss on stage; for example, I was talking to a close friend of mine the other day, and she was lamenting the loss of her father in a plane crash 10 months ago.

In an effort to cheer her up, I cracked a joke. It turns out this joke makes me sound like a completely insensitive prick.

I said: "Well, you should've saved a slice of the corpse and eaten it on the one year anniversary."

Needless to say, she didn't take it too well; but, the joke gets some nice laughs and groans.
