Character and Player
An Eladrin Shielding Swordmage played by MechaGM.
Back Story
Caeranne is part of an order of "Eldritch Knights" who work for the Queen of the Winter Court. This is where she learned her sword magic. Caeranne is a low-ranking member of the order who has been dispatched to help out a "mortal" kingdom that her leige lady/lord is friendly towards. Which is why she's being sent out on this particular mission.
Caeranne is fairly young for an Eladrin being sent out on this sort of thing. (she's only 32 years old) She's fairly idealistic and generally likes and respects the "mortal races." Culturally, the Eladrin generally look at most other races as being somewhat inferior (shorter lived, less intelligent and so on), but Caeranne generally doesn't assume that individuals are inferior to her, even if most other races are generally... well... lesser. She's seen enough exceptional individuals amonst other races that she tries very hard not to assume she's *better* than others, though she's found that, in general, she's smarter than most.
Relationships with other characters
Overall, Caeranne tries to be friendly with her compatriots. She generally assumes that they mean well and that she can generally trust them.
Drycha: Caeranne has met wood elves like Drycha before. So while she wouldn't say she is friends with Drycha, or even really claim to know her... Caeranne is fairly sure that, when push comes to shove, she can count on the reclusive archer to have her back in a tight situation.
Fardraig: For someone who is as good a swordsman as Fardraig is, Caeranne finds him to be surprisingly immature. Overly blunt, completely without regard for others' feelings and at times reluctant to engage the enemy in combat. She really doesn't understand his incessant need to challenge his allies in feats of strength... he's clearly got some issues. All of that said, Caeranne does trust him for the most part when a fight starts.
Han: Caeranne isn't entirely sure what to think of the monk. On the one hand, there is almost nobody she'd rather have fighting alongside her. But on the other hand, Han is so introverted that Caeranne has real trouble relating to him outside of combat. She was especially frustrated by Han's attitude when he found out the enemy's plans for him. Caeranne is furious with herself after the incident with the fire mage... she can't believe she trusted an ally to that lunatic, and she now feels she has to do something to help him.
Vega: Caeranne considers Vega to be her closest friend in the group. She greatly admires Vega's patience with others and her generally kind and helpful demeanor. Also, Vega has saved Caeranne's life on more than one occasion, so she knows Vega has her back, so Caeranne will always have hers. While Caeranne does think Vega is a tad naive at times, she is aware that her own impatience is at least as much of a "problem". All of that said once the war is over, Caeranne hopes she can stay in contact with Vega.
