Battle Royale

Based on the Battle Royale movie, manga and book, Battle Royale D20 is a system cobbled together by Kazi, usually played on Mondays at 1400 EST/1900 GMT. The basic premise of the game is that the players' characters (the students) are brought to a remote location by the DM (here, the Teacher), fitted with bomb-collars to prevent escape, and told to use what they have at hand, the environment around them, and their own wit and will to eliminate the other players in one glorious combat session. All dice rolls are done by the Teacher.

After one impromptu live stream of gameplay his game quickly gained popularity in the Lordkat stream and chatroom. The first game was with Nine players, with Nellufy emerging victorious in the 6 hour match.

Note: As of September 14th, 2011, Kazi announced on the forums that Battle Royale was going on an indefinite hiatus.

How the Game was Done

• The first game was played just using a online die roller with Kazi doing all of the rolls, with characters statistics not hashed out specifically. Players were generally considered either dead or not dead.

• After the first run, the game will probably take more of a serious note without the more crazy weapons showing up and more rules being hashed out.

Rules

• The game takes place on the 4th year of high school where it is usual to go out on a school trip, so anything the students might take with them on this trip would be with them when they wake up.

• As of now, Player Characters are encouraged to come up with at least some sort of back story and need one skill they are proficient in, and two they are somewhat familiar with. There isn't a list out of skills or stats yet, though this is in the works.

• Remember, this is a realistic setting so nothing insane or crazy. If you can't logically explain why your character can dodge bullets or rip hearts straight out of a ribcage, the "Teacher" does have the option of not allowing it. In other words, No Mary/Gary Sues!
