I had no idea what you were saying near the end, when you talked about the game programming, hehe.

I know a little of RPGMaker, but I doubt you'd be using that.

Wow. OK, you can expect some serious jerks I expect. Nice idea, though.

As for the Game making thing, I may be able to help a little. As for the Best of Idea go for it, I would watch it.

Neat, I'd like to ry sending a text message but I bet it'd be really exspensive to send one from britian. But I'd say slow down if your starting to have problems it's nice to watch your videos but were okay just waiting a bit longer.

Also 'a best of' style thing would be much better.

Keep up the good work - IG Commissar Jake

Mike, he's not. From what I can tell he's a really cool guy. He just wasn't comfortable with my idea, is all.

Hmm well what ever you do with Side Quests you have to do something with the Demi-Fiend from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga.

I have to say I'm interested to see how you're going to present the game development video without going too deeply in to the programming - it seems like the backbone of the entire project. I wouldn't mind watching video on the programming side of things but then I develop software for a living so I'm probably biased and in the minority.

Anyway, I'd like to ask what genre of game you plan to walk us through creating with the upcoming video? I assume it will be a platformer as that deals well with all of the traditional game play elements.

Also, did you consider using XNA at all? I've toyed with it (very briefly) and was pretty surprised at how easy it was to get up and running - I think that if people could jump in and develop something they can theoretically play on their 360 that they may be more locked in to the whole experience.

I've played around with XNA but I want to keep this as simple as possible so I'm going to skip anything that requires a compiler so the viewers can jump right in and get going with the project. Since mostly everyone watches the show on a computer of some kind, a cross platform development system, like love, is ideal.

Fair enough - I took a look at Love and I'll watch to see what you do with it. I'm not sure what to expect out of it so if nothing else it'll be interesting to see what you come up with.
