I was the same way with Zombieland but never admit it to all my friends who like it. Gotta love the Bill fuck'n Murray part though, c'mon!

That diet doesn't sound too healthy man, it sounds like one of those things that will gain all the weight back. I'm not sure what dietitian decided 1,000 cals a day is good for you, better to eat more and maybe get some exercise in. If you are just sitting there eating less you might actually lose more muscle.

Anyway, werd to the vlog and always enjoy the site!

You should have watched it with a friend. It was a lot more fun.

As to your 4e disappointment... Are you a fan or liked 3rd edition or 3.5? If so, there is a continuation of the game called Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. It is like 3.5 with the d20 system, but with better and updated rules. The classes are better balanced, the way encounters are set up is leaps and bounds better than 3.5, skills that should be one are so, and, like 3.5, skills and spells have a good amount of use in roleplaying. You can find it easily enough if you torrent it.

I hope that helps in you search for a more RPing game.

You should try White wolf games. Its a lot looser with everyone needing to be there since there is more role playing then combat and you have guns. If one guy is not there you guys can always have him go into Batman prep time or since you don't really need to team up there if you don't want the GM can just focus on 1 or 2 people.

Oh man, I hope you get this:

I find it very interesting to watch this site evolve. One day, I plan on running my own show, but I'm learning some new things as I tag along for the ride.

YES: 4th edition is very combat based. It lacks the diversity and surgical manipulations that can be found in 3.5. 4th is balanced and easy to teach, but I couldn't stand the Dungeon Master's guide for it. I bought all 3 core books for 4th

DIET: Water. Swap your coke zero for water, whenever you can. If you feel like you're out of energy, drink some water and rest a while. The log idea is a great idea!

1000 cal a day is a little and depending on what you eat you still might not loose weight.
Personally I considere most dieticians worthelss because they represent a paradigma that isn't based on science or at least good science.
A 1000 cal diet may work but if you're feeling like shit and hungry all the time, then it probably won't for more then the duration of the diet at best.

For a good and fast insight on these things I would suggest anyone to watch 2 things:
First a lecture (about 1h) by Gary Taubes, awarded Science writer and the author of a massive book on the subject.
http://www.dhslides.org/mgr/mgr060509f/f.htm
Imho he challenges conventional wisdom quite soundly.

Second is a low budget documentary part a rebutal to superzise me by Morgan Spurlock and part an exploration of Taubes thoughts and nutriotion politics that originated from the 1970's called Fat Head by Tom Naughton.
http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/about/

If you're serioulsu thinking about dieting then I think this kind of information (compact and understandable) is way more valuable than the advice you got from your dietician. And dosn't even cost all to much.

Still if you opt to go with the plan the dietician gave you then good luck with that and hope you'll pull trough. Either way it's your choise. :)

I didn't like Zombieland either, and also never understood why so many people enjoyed it as much as they did (do?). All it did for me was leave me craving a twinkie when it was all said and done.
