Please remove the phrase "the single most" from your vocabulary. You tend to overuse it.
Sorry, no alternate formats this week as I'm bandwidth starved - currently stuck tethered to a 3G connection.
I've been waiting for this one. Great game and damn hard glad to see it thanks!
I kind of think of "the single most" as one of his sayings. With lines like "Your going to die...a lot"
Also like the set up here a lot better. What kind of lighting you using?
Great episode as always. Long time watcher, first time poster.
I have to say that I live for LordKat's catchphrase in an episode. "Your going to die...a lot" Keep up the awesome work.
Haha so Mission Impossible is going to be the next game you are going to beat.
woot ninja Gaiden damn ya man. And mission imposible will be nice to see how you beat that game man. I must have tried over 200 times to beat it when i was a kid and couldnt.
Vastly improved lighting! Also, nice haircut.
It just occurred to me that saying that, on the way to a win, "You're going to die... a lot," is a very hindu/buddhist position. On your way to nirvana, the big win, before you reach spiritual perfection, you're going to die... a lot. A good lesson to take away from these crushing classic games.
good job man. the nerd had to get a ninja master to help him and he still couldnt beat it, and all you needed was... well ted.
great video, dude! nice little cameo by Kung Tai Ted, too.
one little thing i noticed. i remember in a vlog you stated that your SMS/Voicemail number was basically (812) LORD-KAT. that would be 567-3528. in the video, you have the number as 567-5328. just thought i'd bring that to your attention ;)
oh,Mission: impossible, probably the only game based on awesome 80s show and not stupid Cruise movie. and it's cool. Insanely hard but so damn cool.
The Cinema Snob (Brad Jones), I see him here in this video. While he is funny, and I do enjoy his videos, there is something about him that makes me want to punch him repeatedly. I am hoping he doesn't become a regular in your videos. Unless it is a video where you torture him with a strobe light.
Again, like his work, just want to punch him.
man memories, I have beaten ninja gaiden long time ago, it was a nightmare, but man when you do it, you are on the top of the world.
Lordkat, Magma here,
You probably know these tricks but I was wondering why you didn't share them :P
1. During the Z-Jumping part, you can just climb over the wall and avoid the pit and the stupid jump all together :)
2. The 2nd Final Boss: You can climb up to the top left and get yourself hit while jumping, you will get stuck in the top left wall and can kill him quite easily.

Great episode as always, thanks.
You should STOP taking requests LordKat, they always have to do with some other reviewer (mostly AVGN) and really cheapen UWW. One of the best things about this series is the surprise of which game you'll beat next.
"You should STOP taking requests LordKat, they always have to do with some other reviewer (mostly AVGN) and really cheapen UWW"
I don't agree. Nothing cheapens UWW. AVGN doesn't have the monopoly on games, nobody gives a shit. Let Lordkat do whatever he wants, if he wants to do requests. Let him.
LuiMartinE says: Great video Jason! I loved it!
Great Video, as always.
I like the expanding out from just watching games, since the cameos are pretty good. There are two things that will make Ninja Gaiden MUCH easier - first is learning how to verticallay climb walls; jump away an then back towards really fast, and you can go straight up. It opens up a LOT of options. The second is to use the spinning swords all the time, since it is by far the best technique in the game as it can attack downwards to make a lot of the jumps easier. To conserve your power, if you hit down+sword attack as you jump, you don't activate it and can save power points. Just surprised you didn't mention either one....
And keep taking requests!! I still want to see Rolling Thunder ;)
with episodes like this, i'm going to keep watching UWW... a lot!
hell yeah, finally another until we win, thank you!
Jason and Brad Jones, great collaboration!
Kinda weird u say that the nerd couldnt do so i would
but if u went to the nerds own site, he and mike beat the game, they had posted pics of the ending scene his tv, and had comments about when he did beat it. So the fact is he actally did beat it lol.
@ Bootlegged
The nerd said he beat Ninja Gaiden 2, and couldn't finish 1.
so i figured next game is gonna be mission impossible guys :D
Did that crossover seriously just happen?
Nice Christopher Walken reference with one of the bosses. Un-fucking-believable indeed.
You don't agree? Phew..good thing your opinion means nothing to me. Thank you for trying though..
This is a bit jarring game to me. I didn't have this game as a kid, but a friend happened have my hands on it for like a week when I and my friend exchanged games. I never found the game hard, I regularly got to the second part of the last boss (who kicked my ass till diarrhea came out of my dick), and then I had to give the game back.
Years later reviewers come telling that yeah, this is the hardest game ever, and I just can't relate.
Then why do you reply if you don't care? Hypocrite.
Wow now I see why it took so long for the last Until We Win. Ninja Gaiden is crazy hard. You must have been playing it for a whole week to beat it and just barely holding onto your sanity. If I was to do what you did I would have to take a whole week off of work and possibly a spare NES in case I over heated and fried mine. Oh yes, and stock up on microwave food, Diet Coke (or Coke Zero), and a couple of cases of Hamm's Beer. You should give yourself a break for the next one and pick an easier one that most people find hard. Maybe Metriod without the Justin Bailey code? All I know your next game will most likely be a walk in a park compared to Ninja Gaiden. Unless you decided to do the whole trilogy. If so, I hope you reserved a padded room for yourself.
If you can keep it long enough, having the Jump & Slash makes every boss fight infinitely easier because that special attack just RAPES their life meter.
In this sense, the TG-16 version of the game is actually HARDER than the NES because that trick doesn't work in it.
>implying you actually went back to 6.1 as punishment. even the hardest nes game is a piece of cake with an emulator.
Mission Impossible for NES. I had it and hated it with a passion.
Lots of enemies in this game are shooting diagonally. Guess who can't do that? >_<
The N64 game was decent, though.
i did a run through after the AVGN review and I just did a run through after this review. I love this game but there are things you've missed that makes this game especially easy. but nonetheless i loved that you reviewed one of my fav games
I cannot wait till we see Mission Impossible. I'm still requesting Sunsoft Superman on the Sega Genesis. Even the Nerd didn't review that one. Great Job LordKat. By the Way I thought Eagles hated Cowboys not Ninja's. :)
Please beat Wall Street Kid in the near future. Muahahahahahhahahaha. But do it by keeping your soul in the process.
Oh GOD I played the SHIT out of both Ninja Gaiden and Mission Impossible as a kid and could never beat either of them. I got past the two hulking gorilla things as a kid but never made it to the next boss and Mission Impossible, ugh, that game made me want to break things. Can't wait to see it, nice job as always.
I like UWW, but come on. So many times it's like "Oh, he's doing this because AVGN did it."
Kinda lame.
Implying the reason people request the game isn't because they saw it on AVGN and it looked like a fun game to see him beat hence the requesting instead of "hurrdurr AVGN did it, u do 2!"
Normally they say ninja gay-den.
cool video though I was kind of hoping the guest teased last time was gonna be proton jon
Is there a reason you don't pan back to yourself in the videos anymore? It is all just game footage.
The videos had more of a "charm" when it had you in your room come be in the video time to time.
Also, the editing where it sounds like "zero punctuation" sounds just....like that. Bring back commas so the audio doesn't sound so yahtzee.
These, of course, are just requests from a fan, and nothing more. Even if these get glanced over and scoffed at, UWW would still be amazingly awesome.
Keep kicking ass, Lord Kat
I challenge you to play VVVVVV until you win! Or are you only doing console games?
why are your videos no longer on tgwtg.com?
Hey Jason, I'd like to nominate a game for UWW:
Axelay for SNES.
I'd really like to see how you handle the final boss on Hard difficulty. That's one scary mofo.
