3D printing could change everything in a few years.
I just paid a crapload for a couple of simple car parts. Imagine if my mechanic could have printed those parts out and install them. Might have saved my hundreds!

Just to remember RepRap is working on a 3d printer to make circuit boards so all you'll have to buy is raw materials, motors, and connecting rods.
Oh and China cut back on the production of lanthanides because the ores are contaminated with radioactive elements and the mining industry over there got slapped down for gross dumping violations.
