So, my PayPal debit card has been declined everywhere since March 20th. At first, I thought I had drained the account, but upon checking the account out, it turns out I had more than enough money for the small transaction I wanted to do. I figured it was the store not accepting the PayPal Mastercard - after all, it wouldn't be the first store to decline such a payment because of PayPal's lack of credibility.

So, I called PayPal up. After nearly an hour on hold (what the fuck guys) I spoke to someone who added my name to a "list" and said that PayPal would look into it, because, apparently, they were having some kind of technical difficulties.

Five days later and my debit card still didn't work.

I called them up today and it turns out that my debit card was "reported as stolen" on - guess when - March 20th. The same day they had the purported technical difficulties. After bringing this issue up to the operators attention, he quipped "I'm sorry sir, but the only way you can use a PayPal debit card is to reapply for one."

So now I get to reapply for a debit card and wait 8 weeks. Assuming, of course, I don't get declined based on my bad credit history.

God I hate PayPal.
