wow, I agree with TJ, I had skipped over your opening a bit (I think LK has it right, just get right into the meat of what your doing) and saving that screenshot/log doesn't exactly seem adult.

Otherwise though, it wasn't bad. It just needs a little tightening up. I wouldn't give alternate strategies to defeating the Boss, people should realize there's more then one way to skin a cat. I also wouldn't warn about spoilers, as someone watching a UWW is basically watching a gamefaq, they should know better.

I'm really digging the idea of UWW being open source.

Love the idea of UWW by LordKaT fans because why not? Its not like he owns the patent on it or anything. Could open the door to great UWW episodes and exposure for people as video makers.

That being said, I did have a problem with your video. The walkthrough/explanation portion of the video was excellent, but I almost didn't even bother watching it at all because it took until 1:30 until you actually STARTED the video. You talk about yourself who I don't know and don't care about if I'm watching and your past history with LordKaT. It might be important to you but its not relevant to your audience. People want to watch an UWW of Milan if they click the link, not the TestZero show. Also there was no reason to include AVGN in there. Referencing him doesn't serve a point other than explaining that the game isn't beloved like Zelda games are. Everybody's seen him before and knows and for those who haven't seen him before they aren't going to get what's going on by including him. If it was done for humor's sake (Just guessing because I didn't find it funny) then that sort of goes against the very informative non-humorous style of UWW where the only joke is just a line or two of frustration here and there. That's it. You could have covered that by simply stating "While this game isn't as beloved as Zelda, it does have the same kind of etc..."

Speaking of that, I found your cutaways to say a joke terrible most of the time. Bad delivery and it interrupts what I'm interested in, the explanation. Certainly not against humor (I'm a LorKaT fan, what do you think?) but this kind of format is a walkthrough and jokes really don't belong. Once again, the actually walkthrough was great and you really shined at that. Just don't try to make this like a typical review video with jokes and references because if you recall, LordKaT never did that either.

I thought this was very well done. FWIW, I don't agree with the criticisms that others have posted - I thought the bit of history at the beginning was a reasonable introduction for a first video, the 'alternate boss strategies' only came up once and seemed appropriate, and the 'jokes' were deadpan and short enough that I didn't mind cutting away from the action for a few seconds. Much like a wall of text is hard to read, a video that doesn't have any pauses in it can be hard to watch IMO.

I liked it! I think that when someone makes a video they should make it how they want to, most of us haven't heard about you and for you to introduce yourself to us and tell us who you are is better than "who is this dumb fuck that's stealing LordKat's show?"

I quite enjoyed this. Like Reetin and Ver Greeneyes above me, I liked the bit where you introduced yourself and gave a bit of history. I didn't know who the hell you were, but now I do. The walkthrough portion was nicely done, informative without being patronizing. I would love to see more of these from you.

What is with all the criticizing? You all act as if LordKat got straight into the UWW every episode. Just to prove your all hypocrites I found 2 UWW's within 5 min that didn't get straight into the walk through. The Terminator review took 4 minutes and the Fester's Quest UWW took a little over a minute. Did you all get on LordKat's case for that? From all the comments I checked there wasn't a single complaint about it. Also guys it's 1 minute and 15 seconds... if you can't sit through that amount of time then why are you watching this in the first place. I mean hell the blip commercials last 30 seconds and if we don't want to watch them we ignore them for that small amount of time. Also you all make it sound like a big deal to move your mouse cursor forward a minute. Also he did what LordKat likes in reviews, like with Linkara's, in that the fluff is at the beginning or ending so that you can skip it.

I'd also like to mention that if the video was just completely explaining how to beat the game with nothing else then why not watch a speed runner play the game? Small little comments here and there is what makes it interesting. If I want a walk through for a game I'd just look it up online, UWW shows you how to beat the game and entertains you at the same time.

Anyways TestZero great job on the video and I hope you make another UWW in the future.

I have my IRC client set to save logs of every channel I ever join on any server, unless I disable it for a specific channel manually.

I rarely ever check them, but sometimes it comes in handy. I don't see what's so bad about saving logs. I doubt TestZero was like "IM FUCKING SAVING THIS SO I CAN GET BACK AT LORDKAT ONE DAY".

The setting was just turned on. End of story.

Great job Test Zero! I liked it! Solid walk/playthrough, good intro, and I thought that including an alternate strategy to defeating bosses was something Lordkat should've done in his UWW. I'll be keeping an open mind for you and see where this goes...

Well done. It's nice to see someone take up UWW and run with it. As with some others though, I too will note that some of the criticism voiced here is unjustified. Don't be overly harsh just because it's not LordKaT doing the video.

I think the only complaint I had was with the AVGN bit. Other than that, you did exactly what the reputation of a UWW dictates; beat an annoyingly difficult game. As for the comments criticizing your style, they need to reread the line "open source". You are not LordKaT, and you are not a tribute band dedicated to doing a video series EXACTLY the way it has been done before. No, you're simply a fan of the show, trying to refresh this type of video and keep it alive. Keep your individualism, sir. Do the vids how YOU want to do them. Only then can we see the quality that goes into the work. Good job!

I liked this. The review was very well done and its from a game I could never beat as a kid..a win win if ya ask me.

God, I loved this game when I was a kid. Never did get very far into it, but I kept renting it. Even my mom liked the game.

I loved this UWW. I really hope you do more. I tried playing Milon's Secret Castle last night after watching this and for the first I felt like I knew what I was doing. So I guess I can say I don't hate the game as much as I used to but I can't say that I like it still. I said it before but I hope you will do more. I also subscribed to your channel on Screw Attack.

Good job, dude! The only reason I was coming to this site was for UWW, vlogs and sometimes LK eats. He doesn't do any of that now so I'm pretty much over this site. (sorry LK)

I'm still waiting for LK to comment on this though. I find it rather rude he hasn't. I'm sure he probably did on his stream though, but honestly I feel like a complete tard sitting there watching streams when I could be doing something else.

It's funny. I'm willing to sit and watch a 15+ min video, but sitting through 5 minutes of a stream bothers me.

That was very well edited and the voice overs were at a good pace. Good job man!

I am also glad that these UWW are hopefully becoming open sourced, and for the most part TestZero you did a great job. You gave a tremendous amount of helpful detail, and you show how the game is a worthwhile challenge, instead of spending 6-10 minutes bitching about how the game is so cryptic it's unplayable.

My only criticisms are the inclusion of AVGN's review (it just seemed like a cheap name drop), and you tend to either cut away to/just waste air time on unfunny jokes. Nothing personal, but no one is funny when they are actually trying to be funny.

However, I'm totally keeping in mind that it's not fair to compare you to LordKat. To be sure, I actually prefer how you specifically highlight the stats of the minibosses/bosses, etc. In other words, keep them coming! :)
